I am a reasonable Bunny. Somewhat sane, at least that's what the voices in my head keep re-ensurably tell me, but two weeks off during the winter is insane. Yes, I understand the teachers and staff need a break (from my oldest bunny-ette and the band of Leporids that run together) but, for all that is holy, not in winter! Not when we have unusually cold weather at night and it takes longer before I can send the bunny-ettes out of the hutch to play. Let me explain:
6:58 am this morning. The morning after one of those nights were I don't sleep much (less then 3 hrs, yawwwwwwwwwwn)
Bunny-ette #1: I'm bored
Me: Glad to meet you Bored, everyone here calls me Mom
Bunny-ette #1: Very funny Mom, but I really am bored.
Me: (yawn) How can you be bored? Your room still needs cleaning, Christmas was just four days ago and you still have games/CD's/toys you haven't played with and speaking of Christmas, if you are that bored, you could do your old Mom a favor and help take down the Christmas tree.
Bunny-ette #1: (rolls eyes) Alright, I will clean my room, but you know childhood is too short to be spent doing housework.
Me: Not sort enough, go clean.
Bunny-ette #1 is just like Mr. Rabbit (don't tell Bunny-ette #1 I said that). Both in looks and personality. He will turn 10yo this week (that's Bunney-ette #1, not Mr. Rabbit. lol). They take life seriously, but with lots of humor. His 5th grade teacher tells us, Bunny-ette has a great mind and doesn't waste it. I'm taking this as a complament and hopping away with it.
Bunny-ette #2 is smart enough to watch and learn. After hearing the above exchange, Bunny-ette #2 is happily cleaning out the game room and making room for the new games from Christmas. Too bad. I was planning to have Bunny-ette #2 vacuum. lol
Bunny-ette #3 is getting ready so when her "bestest friend in the whole wide world" she will be set to go. BFITWWW and Bunny-ette #3 have a play date at the friend's house. She's happy, BF is happy, BF's mom is happy.. it's all a ball of happiness here.
Well, I'm off to face the world. Ok, I'm off to drink some coffee, then face the world. Or drink some coffee and face the Christmas tree.
